Oceania Championships 2027
The 2027 Oceania Championships will be hosted by Shooting Australia on behalf of the Oceania Shooting Federation .
The Shotgun events will be held at the Melbourne Gun Club (Melbourne, Victoria) from 17th to 24th November 2027
Pistol and Rifle events will be held at the Brisbane International Shooting Centre (Brisbane, Queensland) from 24th to 30th November 2027
The format of the competitions will comprise Oceania Championship Events and Oceania Open Events, as follows
Oceania Championship Events – OSF Member National Federations that are ISSF Member Federations may enter athletes who have been selected to their National Team in an Oceania Championship event. These athletes will be eligible to compete for LA2028 quota places. These events will offer athletes the opportunity to win both the championship title and an Olympic quota place for LA2028. Oceania Championship events will comprise Olympic events only (10m Air Rifle and Air Pistol Men’s and Women’s, 25m Pistol Women, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men, 50m Rifle 3 Position, Trap Men’s and Women’s, Skeet Men’s and Women’s).
Oceania Open Events – Open to all competitors without requirement to be selected to a National Team by their OSF Member National Federation. Those who are entered into Oceania Open events will only be eligible to win these events and not Oceania Championship events, with no eligibility to win LA2028 Olympic Quotas. Oceania Open events will comprise Olympic events (as outlined above) with possible additions (subject to the program) of 25m Standard Pistol, 50m Rifle Prone and 10m Air Rifle and Air Pistol Mixed Team events. Paralympic events that can be integrated with Olympic events may also be offered as Oceania Open events. Oceania events may offer finals subject to meeting minimum entries.
