Pacific Games

A brief update

The 2nd all of sport meeting for Technical Delegates and Staff was held two weeks ago, giving Bill Gilroy and myself an opportunity to view progress. Preliminary entries are high, which is to be expected whilst countries resolve selection and finances; however with both Pistol and Shotgun to be conducted expectation is that this could be the biggest yet for Shooting.

Much work has been carried out on the shooting venue with a new 12 bay air range having been constructed along with a rebuild of the 25/50m ranges. All new target systems are on the way for installation as I write this. On the shotgun ranges, there will be two new Laporte DTL trap machines installed, with the existing machine installed on a third layout. Mel Donald and her team have done a great job in preparing for these Games.

IMPORTANT: Please read the procedures carefully and note requirement to apply at least 50 days prior to arrival. It is important that you complete the forms fully and carefully. Enquiries must go back through the Pacific Games office contact listed in the documents.
